The use of Water Buffalo horn in gunstock work has a long history and has, in recent years, enjoyed a rennaisance of interest and appreciation.
We can supply specialist pieces of Water Buffalo horn for stock and fore end work. Our selection of material for your requirements may be wholly relied upon, backed by years of enthusiastic involvement in the trade.
For stock work, regular plates, cut from difficult to obtain larger horns are always available, typically 6" x 2" x various thicknesses from 1/2" to 1" and beyond. As these are dependably selected they may be relied upon to be regular and stable in dimension. Flashes of attractive graining are often present should this be required and may be selected for by request and nothwithstanding the limitations of stock.
For fore end caps, we always have in stock characteristically bulky, shorter, "stubby" horn tips that will yield required dimensions for this type of work. A diffusion of graining from the centre of the horn tip to be used may often be selected for giving an added attraction to the finished piece.
In addition to horn, we can supply a variety of bone plate inlays where required.
You may be assured of good, old fashioned knowledgeable service. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements. We have an enviable portfolio of prestige clients in the gun trade and shall be delighted to add your own business to that list.
